JanKossen Contemporary Art Consultancy (JKCAC) is a Swiss (Basel) and Australian (Sydney) based art consultancy that assists private and corporate clients in the purchase of contemporary works of art. The consultancy specialises in building collections for clients in Asian and Middle Eastern contemporary art, with an emphasis on Chinese art. 

In addition, JKCAC conducts qualitative and quantitative research in contemporary art; identifying trends on both the primary and secondary art market.

Research


A current project in collaboration with the Macquarie University, Australia; involves research interviews with major international gallerists, artists and collectors, with results to be ultimately made public via a book “Why the West buys the East: understand the collectors of Chinese Contemporary Art”.

Jasmin Kossenjans established JanKossen Consulting in Switzerland in 2000, advising clients in both Europe and Asia.

Of European and Persian origins, but born and living in Hong Kong for over 25 years, Jasmin is fluent in Cantonese, and is familiar with Chinese culture and traditions; specialising in the developement of contemporary art since the 1980s. Her middle Eastern background has given her a personal interest in Middle Eastern as well as Indian contemporary art.
