“Go to the country- the muse is in the woods”
Jean Baptiste Camille Corot

Boreel draws her inspiration from nature. It is her sanctuary, a place where she reflects and grounds her soul. Her process is physical and immediate, by conveying sub-contrasting sensations such as strength/delicacy and threat/tranquility.

Drawn to record the texture of objects in her surroundings, Boreel explores the spaces in between by capturing the void, the work points to a search for what lies beyond or beneath the surface. The process conveys insight into the heart of the matter, by showing the outward reality of these things she tries to explore their inward dimension.
